Nigeria’s Blockchain Startups Get $100K AWS Cloud Support Through Partnership

Date:

Nigeria’s blockchain ecosystem has secured  $100,000 in AWS Cloud credits grant to accelerate Web3 innovation. The Stakeholders in Blockchain Technology Association of Nigeria (SiBAN)  partnered with Vontech, an AWS Advanced Consulting Partner, to unlock $100,000 in AWS cloud credits for Web3 startups building in the country.

The initiative is designed to remove one of the biggest barriers facing early-stage teams, access to reliable, scalable infrastructure.

Through this program, eligible startups can use AWS services for computing, storage, analytics, AI tooling, application security, and more. This allows founders to build, test, and scale blockchain-based products without the heavy upfront cost of cloud infrastructure. Vontech will also provide technical guidance, onboarding assistance, and advisory support to ensure teams maximise the value of the credits.

SiBAN says the initiative reflects its commitment to strengthening Nigeria’s digital-asset and blockchain ecosystem by empowering builders with global-grade tools. According to SiBAN President Obinna Iwuno, enabling founders to reduce infrastructure costs makes it easier for them to focus on innovation, compliance, and market expansion, areas where many early-stage teams struggle.

The support extends beyond cloud credits. Startups will also gain access to AWS training resources, architecture reviews, and specialised mentorship from Vontech engineers familiar with Web3 infrastructure needs. This includes best practices for running nodes, managing dApps, deploying smart-contract infrastructure, and integrating cloud security frameworks.

For many of Nigeria’s emerging blockchain companies, access to enterprise-level infrastructure is a turning point. Local teams often operate with limited funding, fragmented technical resources, and steep hosting costs. By bridging this gap, SiBAN and Vontech aim to position Nigerian startups for global competitiveness while encouraging more experimentation with Web3 across the country.

The program will be available to SiBAN-registered members, reinforcing the association’s role as a key convener of the ecosystem. With cloud capacity now within reach for more developers, Nigeria’s blockchain space could see a new wave of products and ideas gaining traction.
