Ondo expands tokenised market to 430+ stocks and ETFs

The market for tokenised equities is growing rapidly, and Ondo Finance is making another push to bring traditional financial assets on-chain.

The company has added 173 new tokenised stocks and exchange-traded funds (ETFs) to its Ondo Global Markets platform, bringing the total number of available assets to more than 430 across Ethereum, Solana, and BNB Chain.

The latest additions span some of the most closely watched sectors in global markets, including artificial intelligence, robotics, quantum computing, aerospace, and defence technology. The expansion gives crypto users broader access to publicly traded companies and funds through blockchain-based infrastructure.

Tokenised stocks are digital representations of traditional equities issued on a blockchain. They are designed to provide investors with exposure to the performance of underlying assets while offering some of the benefits associated with digital assets, including faster settlement and easier integration with decentralised finance applications.

Ondo has emerged as one of the leading players in the tokenised securities market. The company’s Ondo Global Markets platform surpassed $1 billion in total value locked earlier this year and has become one of the largest venues for tokenised stocks and ETFs.

The latest expansion reflects growing interest in bringing traditional financial products on-chain. Over the past year, tokenised real-world assets have attracted increasing attention from crypto firms, asset managers, and financial institutions looking to modernise how assets are traded and accessed.

Unlike earlier generations of tokenised equities that offered a limited selection of stocks, Ondo has focused on building a broader marketplace that mirrors a traditional brokerage experience. Users can access exposure to technology companies, market-tracking ETFs, commodities, and sector-specific funds through blockchain networks.

The addition of more AI, robotics, and quantum-related assets also highlights where investor interest is increasingly concentrated. As artificial intelligence continues to drive capital flows across global markets, demand for exposure to companies operating in emerging technologies has grown significantly.

For the wider crypto industry, the announcement underscores a larger trend: the convergence of traditional finance and blockchain infrastructure. While stablecoins have become the most successful example of real-world assets on-chain, tokenised stocks are increasingly being viewed as the next major category.

As competition in the tokenised asset market intensifies, platforms are racing to offer larger asset catalogues and deeper liquidity. Ondo’s latest expansion signals that the battle to bring global capital markets on-chain is still accelerating.
